Can I scan my films at the same time and what file size will they be? We can scan your films at the time of processing and all our scanned films are balanced by a colour technician in lightroom. Our scans are approximately 18MB for 35mm film and 12Mb for 120 , 5x4 films are scanned to 25MB. All scans will easily be good enough to print to A3 and sometimes beyond. Colour films are cleaned by an infra red scan that reads the dust on the back of the film emulsion and then removes the blemishes. Black and white film is uncleaned ( not dustbusted) and will need to be dustbusted in an application like photoshop. All scans are then written to CD or DVD. What is the benefit of using your scanners? Because our scanners are carefully calibrated
and high end - your scans will be of a really high quality. Also, if you
are thinking of printing them at a later stage by uploading the files
onto our website and ordering prints - they will be behind our colour
loop and will print perfectly without any colour management.. We supply
all scans on CD rom.
